BANNER day for Obama . . .

From the Washington Post:  “Obama joins Wisconsin’s budget battle, opposing Republican anti-union bill”

MADISON, WIS. – President Obama thrust himself and his political operation this week into Wisconsin’s broiling budget battle, mobilizing opposition Thursday to a Republican bill that would curb public-worker benefits and planning similar protests in other state capitals.  Obama accused Scott Walker, the state’s new Republican governor, of unleashing an “assault” on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would change future collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers.  The president’s political machine worked in close coordination Thursday with state and national union officials to get thousands of protesters to gather in Madison and to plan similar demonstrations in other state capitals.  Their efforts began to spread, as thousands of labor supporters turned out for a hearing in Columbus, Ohio, to protest a measure from Gov. John Kasich (R) that would cut collective-bargaining rights.

Excuse me?  Did you get that?  Obama “worked with . . . union officials to get thousands of protesters to gather in Madison”?  The President of the United States is organizing unions in a protest against the sitting Governor of one of the United States?  Does that seem right to you?  Is that something that is even within the realm of what a President should be doing?  The President of the United States is organizing the beginnings of an uprising in the state of Wisconsin.  Who would have ever thought that even possible?

From ynetnews.com:  “Ahmadinejad: Obama can’t spell his own name”

Ahead of pro-government rally, Iranian leader says US president ‘can’t control his emotions’.  Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacked Barack Obama on Friday, saying the American president “doesn’t even know how to spell his own name properly.”  During a visit to Bushehr ahead of a scheduled rally in support of his regime, the Iranian leader said, “Obama wants to rule the world, but he can’t even control his own emotions.”

How’s all of that muslim “kumbaya” crap working out for you now . . . huh?  Their respect for the United States has really skyrocketed since Obama took over hasn’t it?  What a joke this guy is!

From USA Today:  “House blocks funding for health care law”

The GOP-led House voted today to block funding to implement the nation’s health care law.  The action came on several amendments to a must-pass spending bill that would pay for government operations from March through September.  Specifically, the House voted to prohibit any funds be used by the Internal Revenue Service to carry out the law’s mandate that Americans buy health insurance. The individual mandate, one of the law’s key tenets, has been struck down by federal courts.  The House also adopted an amendment by Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont., to bar the Labor and Health and Human Services Departments from spending any money for the rest of fiscal year 2011 on the health care law. Still another provision adopted today would ban the government from paying the salaries of any federal employee involved in implementing the health care law.

Score 1 for sanity and for hope for your grandchildrens’ future . . . perhaps.

From CNBC:  “Fear of ‘Catastrophic’ Crash Rising Despite Bull Market”

In an unprecedented move, the number of investors fearing a catastrophic stock market crash is rising even with the stock market at 2 ½ year highs.  The unusual dislocation comes from two distinct reasons: a lack of trust in the U.S. financial markets following the so-called Flash Crash last May and the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2007.  This means the Flash Crash Advisory Commission that met on Friday has a long way to go in restoring confidence to the point that will bring the individual investor back into a market still ruled by high frequency trading, exchange-traded funds and leveraged hedge funds.

Can you spell “failed stimulus”?  He’s done it though.  He’s managed to bankrupt the greatest country that ever graced the face of the earth.  Guess his boss George Soros is happy, eh?  No . . . wait . . . just a sec . . . this next one may be a problem for Obama.

From CNN:  “Obama has lost control”

Yeah, he did.  Soros said that.  There’s even a video of it here.  But you see this isn’t really unexpected though, I mentioned in an earlier blog that Soros was unhappy with the way Obama was handling the “transition” . . . it just wasn’t happening fast enough for him.  Now that things are heating up and Obama is taking some hits from just about every direction, it just may be the right time for Soros to let Obama push the agenda for the next couple of years while drying up all of the support he’s been giving him.  Obama’s just a lackey anyway, nothing more than a foolish, power-hungry puppet used by  – no, not Soros – the enlightened Bilderberg group to get the ball rolling.

From LegalNewsline:  “Obama citizenship question goes to U.S. Supreme Court”

WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline)

The former deputy Pennsylvania attorney general who challenged Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama’s qualifications to be president has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Lafayette Hill, Pa.-based attorney Philip Berg, a self-described “moderate to liberal” Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, alleged that the Illinois senator is not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency.

Oh yeah, that was the other thing I wanted to bring up.  Seems like the Supreme Court will be taking a look at the issue surrounding Obama’s citizenship afterall.  We’ll see how far it gets.  Even if they were to rule him ineligible it wouldn’t matter, it’d be too little too late and the damage has been done.  The election in 2008 set into motion an unstoppable series of events that are much like that ole snowball rolling downhill.  About all we can do at this point is damage control and prepare for the outcome.
