Hello again . . .

I’ve been remiss and apologize for not keeping guys up to date with RamblinManDan.  Yes, I’ve been busy working out the details of how to navigate my life – you know – looking for the balance that equates to a secure yet comfortable and enjoyable existence but in reality that’s just an excuse.  Truth is I’ve just been lazy about it because each post requires a large investment of time and energy and I simply lost sight of the effort’s value.  Here’s what I mean by that:  It’s hard work writing a blog and it’s is a process of compressing personal opinion and *sic* insight into a theme, performing the research to develop a structurally reliable framework for that theme, engaging cognitive thought to apply a logical sequence of ideas to fit within the framework of that conceptual theme and THEN find the right combination of words that express my intended meaning in clear and understandable written form.  The benefit for me is multidimensional but primarily it is a cathartic process wherein I vent and release my frustrations with the world at large.  It also allows me the opportunity to develop and proclaim in a very public manner a personal “base” of belief and opinion upon which I can stake my own flag – make my claim of who I am and what I stand for.  In other words this blog is my soapbox and I like to express my opinion to anyone who’ll tolerate it.

There it is.

Honesty, confession and intent.

Have you seen the news lately?  Crazy world huh?  Sometimes when I look at what’s going on I get the distinct impression that the place has been turned on its head.  It seems that everything I learned was good is now evil, or perhaps more accurately – evil has now become the social norm.  Those things I was taught to be right and true – things like God is good, respecting your elders, cherishing life, obeying the law of the land, working hard,  earning your position in life, appreciating what you have, trying your best to live by the Golden Rule, being honest, practicing thrift, respecting tradition, defending honor and truth, extending a helping hand, holding high the Bill of Rights, honoring the principles set forth by our Founding Fathers in the Constitution, obeying the Ten Commandments, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, observing Sunday as the Lord’s day of rest, things like that – are now forgotten, ignored or just flat out ridiculed.  Now, I’ll be the first to admit that at some isolated moments in my life I’ve probably violated every single one of those things but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe them to be true.  What that proves is that I am a sinner – a weak and faulty human being.  But I’ve confessed every single one of those sins and asked God for His forgiveness.  The older I get the more I realize the purity of all those ideas and how important they are to achieve the secure, comfortable and enjoyable life I’ve been chasing for nigh on 61 years now.

Back to the point though, am I the only one who thinks things are upside down these days?  Am I the only one who thinks what’s going on is wrong?  Nope.  I don’t think so.  I think, hope and pray that there are TENS, maybe HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of people – Americans – out there that feel the same way.

Thing is, as History tells us, society is never static.  History proves that society is dynamic and that it evolves, changes and morphs from one state to another.  It must alter itself in order to accommodate man’s discovery, development and application of the resources around him.  Think about that for a minute.  The foundation of Darwin’s theory is based on the same concept of discovery, development and application as applied to the much championed (and now advanced as proven fact) assertion that some obscure little amoeba popped up in the primordial ooze and evolved into the intelligent beings of planet Earth now called “human”.

You guys okay with that?  Are you okay with the idea that your great-great-great-to-near-infinity grandpappy was a single-celled animalcule that one day woke up and found itself with the ability to crawl out of the swamp?  Are you okay with the idea that something slithering through the muck bumped into a rock and realized that the rock would make a good weapon?  Are you okay with the idea that, when dropped, the rock hit another rock that created a spark and the now (kind-of upright) animalcule-turned-mammal discovered fire?  Are you okay with all that?  Not me.  I BELIEVE in Divine Creation.

I do believe in evolution also but not of man, I believe in the evolution of society.  You see, I believe that God created man in His own image, that He created woman as man’s companion and that He created a perfect world – a perfect society – in which man and woman could reside.  And it was all good, things were just fine and dandy until that day when woman stumbled upon the tree of knowledge, was tempted, submitted to temptation, liked it and then shared it with man.  That single act of defiance (partaking of the fruit) was the very first act of societal evolution.  The reward God gave to man and woman for their act of defiance was banishment from the perfect society.  Along with the banishment God gave mankind control of his own security, comfort and enjoyment.  It is WE who have dictated societal evolution and look at what we’ve done with it.

Since then, society hasn’t stopped evolving in order to accommodate mankind’s quest for a secure, comfortable and enjoyable existence. The changes we have seen in our society are mandated by our own pursuit of safety, comfort and convenience.  However, we’ve become lazy.  We WANT the government to tell us what to eat and to feed us.  We WANT the government to tell us where to live and to house us.  We WANT the government to control our safety and to protect us.  We WANT the government to tell us what to think and what to do.  We WANT the government to tell us when to do it.  So you see?  WE haven’t evolved.  Oh no.  Our ambition and initiative have evolved until there is hardly any left in most of us.  We’re lazy but don’t want to give up our security, comfort and enjoyment so we turn to the government to provide those things for us.

How about that?

I don’t think that of everyone.  Just about everyone I know takes personal responsibility for their own security, comfort and enjoyment.  I don’t personally know anyone who doesn’t.  BUT I have seen, heard and witnessed a whole boatload of those who don’t and there are enough of them to influence the direction of our society’s evolution.

Society is evolving folks and there is nothing we can do about it.  We are outnumbered by the millions.  There are enough people now who want to live in security, comfort and enjoyment – but haven’t the foggiest idea about how to get those things – to demand that the government provide it to them . . . and the government will take whatever necessary from the rest of us to provide it to do it.  That’s just the way it is.

Society is evolving and it will not stop except by God’s own hand.

Time to write again . . .

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and I apologize for my absence and will not make excuses.  But then, these are tenuous times for us all and getting more so every day.

And so, here we are.

We stand as near the brink of complete American demise as we ever have during our Republic’s remarkable lifetime.  Think of this time right now as our “Thelma and Louise” moment.  You know the movie, that last scene, the one with the women facing certain death straight ahead and the consequences of their actions straight behind.  We also are at that singular point in time when we must decide between two fates.  We can surrender, accept the consequences of our actions so far and salvage what we can from the mess that’s been made OR we can escape the pain of consequence, drive over the cliff’s edge into oblivion and lose it all.  The foot of a collective America hovers above the accelerator that controls our future.  Thelma and Louise chose death.

Which will it be America?

Just like the women of the movie, had we accepted the punishment commensurate with our over-indulgent behavior when first caught, the consequences would have been painful but not something we could not endure.  The very first TARP, President Bush’s $800b bailout to AIG, was that moment for us.  Bush chose to plug the hole, hoping it would hold and it might have had a fiscally conservative succeeded him as POTUS.  Unfortunately for America, that was not the case.  Instead, America elected a man who was hell-bent upon transforming America.  This appealed to the progressive thinking yuppy-types and the “I want mines too” couch ridden, Jerry Springer watching, Cheetos munching crowd.  In their minds, too few shared the spoils of capitalism and America elected an admitted Marxist to occupy the most powerful office on the face of the Earth in the spirit of . . . fairness.

Capitalism had brought untold prosperity to America’s shores but not to all, natural selection and personal choice dictated to whom it was that prosperity accumulated.  Even still, those down on their luck were given a helping hand and the opportunity to recover.  Those who could not work for whatever reason were provided with an adequate and sustainable lifestyle.  Those who were able to work but yet refused were provided for and even the poorest of America enjoyed an enviable lifestyle compared to the poor in most other parts of the world.  Mostly though, for those willing to work and pinch a penny here and there, a decent living for you and your family was attained with relative ease and many could maybe even afford a boat or some other such luxury.  For those willing to take some risks, start a business, work harder and longer than the norm, could avoid big mistakes and with some luck you may be able to achieve the pinnacle of capitalistic effort – a successful business, incorporation and maybe an IPO!  THAT is the American dream!  THAT is why, for so many decades, so many people came to America from so many different places . . . for the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.  There were no guarantees, there were no government handouts!  The only thing anyone got was a chance, an opportunity to turn ideas into actions, actions into dreams and dreams into realities.

But now there are those who say that capitalism is unfair.  They say that the ones with the ideas, the ones with the guts to take the risk, the ones willing to break a sweat in order to fulfill their dreams . . . they say these people became successful by taking advantage of those with no ideas or lacked the guts to take a chance or the willingness to break a sweat.

To them I say BULL!

Yes, there were some who were greedy and there were some who took advantage but they were a minority of America’s entrepreneurs and as long as we are human beings there will ALWAYS be those kinds of people.  Do you remember this woman, Peggy Joseph?

Did you ever hear, “If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.” Or “There’s a sucker born every minute.” Or “If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it probably is a duck.”?  Those expressions were born from those who manipulated the system in order to achieve an unfair advantage over people like Peggy.  She had been sold a bill of goods because it was the bill of goods she wanted.  Peggy wanted a house and a car and children and a cell phone and a computer and a big television with cable and everything else the capitalists have but she didn’t want to work for it.

The basic premise of capitalism is simple:  goods and services are provided to any and all with the means to procure them at a market-driven price.  The execution of capitalism is much more complex:  finding a fair and equitable process of providing those goods and services to any and all while achieving a reward commensurate with the risk taken can be very tricky.  Facilities, manpower, production, warehousing, quality, distribution, logistics, product placement, marketing, competition, customer service and on and on and on are all crucial factors, glitches in any of which can drain profitability from your product.  The beauty of capitalism is that, when it is not interfered with, it works perfectly.  The problem with capitalism is that it is a system that can be scammed and, since Jesus isn’t running things – not yet – it frequently is scammed.  Cut corners in any one of those crucial factors and you’re scamming the system.  Most frequently, the easiest and most profitable way to scam the system is to cut quality while placing heavy emphasis on the factor that will increase sales volume every single time . . . marketing.

We’ve all seen these operations come and go.  Yup, they show up on some corner with a “too good to be true” kind of deal and yup, there’s always a few of those “suckers born every minute” who get scammed and yup, the rest of us just shake our heads because “If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it probably is a duck” and the scam operation sooner rather than later shuts down and moves along to find its next gaggle of suckers.  They’ve always been around, we used to call them “Snake oil salesmen”, more recently we called them “Hedge fund Managers” and now, well now I believe them to be called Representatives, Senators and sadly . . . President.

In an age when . . . our Federal government takes in $180b, spends $300b and borrows $120b every single month and our “leaders” have a large percentage of us convinced that the Federal government isn’t spending enough . . . our President threatens to cut off payments to people who have paid into the Social Security system all their lives or threatens to not pay the men and women who are serving our country in lieu of cutting off payments to the tens of millions of illegal aliens who are receiving cash payments from our Federal government . . . our Federal government refuses to close the borders to illegal aliens and even goes so far as to sue a State for trying to enforce immigration laws . . . our soldiers are handcuffed in war zones with impossibly strict Rules of Engagement . . . our debt has been downgraded for the first time in our history . . . our creditors are claiming fiscal mismanagement . . . our President has purportedly granted our largest creditor – China – emminent domain in case we default . . . you get the picture . . . we must admit, finally, that we’ve been scammed.  We have been scammed and the damage caused is monumental BUT we can recover.  It will be painful.  It will not be without casualties but we can do it.  We can recover from this.

Tell me America, which will it be?  Our collective foot hovers above the accelerator.  Will we drive off the cliff like Thelma and Louise?  Or, will we turn this thing around, take our lumps and restore the luster to America?  The decision is ours.  Which is it?

Las Vegas

I’ve re-located myself to Las Vegas for a few reasons:  1) For reasons I do not understand, the V.A. here prescribes a longer supply of the medications I take than anywhere else.  2) I like the dry climate and the desert.  3) I feel compelled to be here for some reason.  4) Something inside of me wants to play in the World Series of Poker again.

So here I am with my very skinny bank account and not much else in terms of “vision”.  The economy here is probably worse than anyplace else in the country, the unemployment rate is certainly higher here than any other city in America and the mortgage default rate here is tops in the nation.  Probably close to 50% of the television and radio ads here are lawyers ads for bankruptcy or saving you home from foreclosure or sueing somebody for something.  There seems to be more people wandering around the streets than before and they’re not tourists, that would be a good thing.  I’ve been looking for a work and there are jobs out here, none of which I have a minute’s worth of experience doing.  There are IT jobs, cooks jobs, waiters jobs, housekeeping jobs, security officer jobs, jobs in hotels, jobs in restaurants, jobs in casinos, jobs selling Avon, jobs peddling magazines door-to-door, etc.  I’ve been to see a couple head-hunters and they didn’t paint much of an encouraging picture either, which is a rarity.  There was a job fair the other day and I went but, other than a couple of schools and some guy offering to re-write your resume for $120 there just wasn’t anything there for anyone who doesn’t work in some type of hospitality job.

Which leads me to wonder . . . why?  Why am I here?  To tell you the truth I don’t really know other than I feel led here for some reason.  I went to a church this morning near downtown, one I had found on the internet.  It was 1 of 5 “Calvary Chapels” in the Las Vegas valley and I guess I picked it hoping for some kind of inspiration.  There were maybe 15 people at the service, at least 5 of which had obviously spent the night sleeping under somebody’s boat or something – I think they were there for the after-sermon snacks though.  The pastor preached a boring and uninspiring sermon from Galations with no real revelence to what’s going on in the world though he did try to describe the difference between Christians and Muslims.  I lost interest when he said something about Islam having no Biblical roots at all.  I think I’ll try a different church next Sunday, there are “Calvary Chapels” in Henderson and Green Valley which may have a different congregation.

The thing is I believe there is are real needs here in Las Vegas, ones I can help fill.  I just don’t know what they are or how to do it.

So much going on . . .

So the feds came close to shutting down all “non-essential” services last night because our duly elected officials (our very own 2011 version of the Keystone Kops) couldn’t come to an agreement on just how much of ours and China’s money to spend this year.  I’ll get to the “why” later but first I have to say that I’m really confused about something, maybe somebody can straighten me out.  If the things the feds will stop doing because of the lack of budget are “non-essential” and if my understanding of “non-essential” is correct (I looked it up, it means unnecessary), then why are we doing those things?  I mean . . . if those things are not necessary, what’s the reason we do them?  Just wondering because it does not make much sense to me.  Oh and, they did agree to a “budget framework” that would cap appropriations at or near just over $1 trillion for 2011 with barely an hour to spare.

Politicians and bloated big-mouths alike made the rounds of the media this past week, pointing fingers at each other and making stupendous claims of how a government shutdown would adversely effect the American public.  Here are but a few of their outrageous comments and claims:

  • Harry Reid said that the Republicans wanted the shutdown to keep women from getting cancer screenings.
  • Nancy Pelosi said that the Republicans are waging a war on women and that Paul Ryan’s budget plan must be “snuffed out” just before jetting off to Boston to speak at a George Soros event.
  • Chuck Schumer seized the opportunity to politicize the shutdown by blaming the Tea Party for the government running out of money and calling the GOP the party of extremes.
  • Louise Slaughter said that the Republicans are trying to kill women.
  • Jessie Jackson even got into the mix by saying that the Republicans are trying to start a civil war.

Planned Parenthood money is the butt of the comments above.  Republicans insisted on the elimination of federal funding for the state sponsored abortion factory and Democrats were crying “foul”.  The inked deal does ban the use of federal money to fund abortions in the District of Columbia.  Bottom line of this whole disgusting mess is that we have a capitol filled with childish thugs posing as U.S. Representatives and Senators who throw temper tantrums when they don’t get their way.  We are in a dire situation in this country.  Our leadership has sold us out and is pointing our nation towards something that will prove to be decisively the final chapter in American – and possibly global – history.

I just finished reading (2nd reading, 1st was in college) “Spartacus”, a Howard Fast novelization of the slave revolt that occurred in Italy sometime around 73 B.C.  It didn’t take long to recognize Fast’s left-wing bent on the story with Rome representing current western culture, the revolting slaves representing the current working class and Spartacus representing whomever might emerge as the leader.  The book is very well written and provides the reader with detailed background information about the state of Rome’s political, social and cultural condition at that time.  What I found most remarkable is that, with just a bit of imagination, parallels can easily be drawn between Rome and our own culture today.  The gluttony of Rome’s elite class and their attitude towards the common man is acutely mindful of our own.

The situation in the Middle East continues to fester and boil.  There is a common thread sewn through each hotspot – the muslim brotherhood.  If you are not familiar with these gangsters of islam then you should spend some time doing a bit of research about them.  It isn’t hard to find all sorts of information about them on the internet, they’re a highly visible group.  They are a well organized, determined and frightening bunch intent on overthrowing western-minded civilizations and instituting rigid compliance with sharia law.  Their current focus is the Middle East with the ultimate goal of global domination.  So what’s the big deal you ask?  Sharia law is the code of conduct as laid forth by the quran and is fashioned after the example set by mo-ham-ed.  It directly addresses human behavior and subdivides all human activity into five categories:  obligatory, recommended, neutral, discouraged and forbidden.  Punishments for voilations committed of sharia law range from imprisonment to amputation of limbs to death by stoning.  Adultery by both men and women is punishable by stoning to death however, there must be a confession or at least four male witnesses to the “crime”.  Men are permitted to have as many as 4 wives and women have few rights as we understand “womens’ rights”.  Female sexual pleasure is discouraged under sharia law and anatomical modification of feminine sex organs is surgically performed at an early age to ensure compliance.

“Honor killing” is a punishment prescribed by sharia law when dishonor is brought upon a muslim family or other social group by one of its members, normally a girl or woman.  The infraction leading to an honor killing is usually associated with style of clothing worn by a female, refusal to comply with an arranged marriage, attempted dissolution of a marriage, inappropriate relationships outside marriage, homosexual activity and adultery.  Such honor killings are becoming more and more visible and are occurring even here in the United States with alarmingly increasing frequency.  I looked and found absolutely no reference to “honor killing” anywhere in the Constitution, Bill of Rights or Federal Papers.

What is most disturbing about the muslim brotherhood as they relate to America is that organized labor and socialist organizations here in this country share the first part of their ultimate goal – the overthrowing of western-minded civilizations.  Because of this common goal, American revolutionaries have thrown in to support the muslim brotherhood in their efforts to topple regimes in the Middle East and are very active in those efforts.  Their purpose is to garner reciprocal support from the muslim brotherhood in the transformation of the United States from a republic to a socialist society.  That Obama is associated with many of those American revolutionaries and their ideology is factual.  That Obama has close ties to members and the ideologies of the muslim brotherhood is startingly dangerous to our very uniquely American society.  Combined, the associations of Obama along with the power of the Presidency represent a great and horrible danger to America.  To minimize or disregard the peril this ominous combination of ideologies, alliances and influence is foolish and irresponsible to the principles of our founding.

Conservatives with patriotic tendancies toward the true American values of capitalism, entrepreneurialism and American exceptionalism gotta love what Donald Trump is saying.  I believe that he truly loves America and all that it stands for.  He claims that he could restore American luster to our global reputation with vigor and decisive leadership.  I’ve no doubt he would give his absolute best to do just that.  Trump has put monumental deals together with people from all over the world during course of his career and in doing so built a massive real estate empire.  Therein lies the root of Trump’s American loyalty for what he has done in his lifetime would not be possible in any other country.

But is he the right man at the right time to be POTUS?  I’m not smart enough to know the answer to that question but I do know this:  Without a true American patriot in the wheelhouse, our way of life is in danger of being victimized by the academic elites and socialists who are working overtime to dismantle our American culture.

Speaking of Donald Trump, he has employed private investigators to look into Obama’s background and he has said that what they are reporting to him is startling.  During an interview with Merideth Vieira on the Today Show, he spoke of this and many other things.  Take a look:

No doubt, Trump has an ego the size of Manhattan but his logic is compelling.  I like what I hear and will struggle to find another with his determination.

Israel stands alone.  Surrounded by the muslim brotherhood, Israel stands alone.  The current leadership of this country, from President to Secretary of State, have abandoned Israel to fend for itself.  When the levee breaks and Israel stands to defend itself, woe be to the attackers.  This video outlines the challenges posed to the defense of Israel:

With so much at stake in the Middle East, is there any wonder why Jews and Christians alike are worried over Obama and his sympathies towards muslim causes?

The earth is shaking and spasming like a dog trying to fling a pack of angry hornets off his back.  Shuddering and shaking and shimmying and quaking and twittering and quivering and wobbling and trembling and swaying and rocking.  Our planet is staggering and stumbling from the weight of human-kind’s plotting and posturing and manipulating and positioning and fussing and fighting and now it’s just plain old fed up with us.  These earthquakes will continue in frequency and intensity.  As powerful as whoever it is that is orchestrating all of the political and social chaos in our world is nothing compared to the power of He who comes.

“To the shores of Tripoli”

2,200 Marines from the 26th MEU, or Marine Expeditionary Unit, have been deployed to Libya for the express purpose of “helping end the violence directed at the Libyan people”.  That’s their mission on this deployment.  I’ve searched and searched but cannot find the parameters of their orders published anywhere.  What I would really like to find is the definition of the word “help” as used in the above directive.  Obama says that we are “not at war” while U.S. warplanes strike military targets in Libya and Marines prepare to go ashore.  I really, really do wonder what the objective and rules of engagement are for this mission.  It just seems that this mission is kind of like going hunting without knowing what you are hunting for, then shooting at everything that moves.
To my knowledge this is the first time in history the United States Marine Corps will openly be utilized in league with our enemy – in this case al Qaeda – during military action to unseat and overthrow a government.  Obama goes on a holiday in South America with a handful of execs from big corporations and nonchalantly asserts that we are “not at war” while munching on a bowl of polenta.  This whole thing stinks.
I spent just 3 years in the Corps during the early 70’s but I bleed Marine Corps scarlet and gold and I even carry around (24/7) a pebble I picked up on the beach in Tripoli while passing through Libya just a couple years ago. So I guess you could say with some certainty I am a lifetime Marine even though I wore the uniform for just 3 years. “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” My love of God, Country and Corps has never tarnished over the years and it is just as strong today as ever – if not stronger.  My prayers tonight are for my young Marine brothers as they follow the orders of their leaders in Libya.
As I watch the calamity of this elected American President unfold, I am reminded that all of what is happening globally has been long foretold. As foolhardy, terrible and frightening as they are, the actions of this world are but the building blocks of God’s plan. Time is short my friends. God’s judgement is coming sooner than later. Make your peace with God before it is too late.

The latest from me . . .

Before I begin today’s post, I would like to remind everyone of the terrible disaster that now continues to devastate Japan and ask each of you to consider donating $10 to help the Japanese people.  It’s fast, convenient, painless and as simple as texting the word REDCROSS to the number 90999 on your cell phone.  These people have endured a 9.0 earthquake, a tsunami, face nuclear contamination from their power plants and I believe it will get much, much worse.  Japan has been a friend to us for several decades now and they need our help.  Please, make the text.  Thank you.

Some of you have noticed that I have not been posting to RamblinManDan as frequently as before and asked about that, I’ve received more than a few emails asking “Why?”  My answer to that is both simple and complex but I’ll try to explain . . .

I have a LOT of time to read.  And I do read.  Voraciously.  I like to read action novels and historical fiction but I’ve always been interested in understanding – or trying to understand – the motivations of the people who shape our world in terms of economics, education, culture and politics.  These interests led me to try to understand the background and history of the United States, what motivated the people who made the past 235 or so years possible, the events and circumstances that have shaped our country as it is today and the incredibly powerful forces we see now that are making such a dramatic change in our country, our economy, our culture and our lives despite strong opposition.

At first, I did my best to keep people informed about what was happening and tried to send a message in the hopes that my spark might light a fire of realization within those who took the time to read what I had to say.  But as I read more and more of Biblical prophecy and relate those prophecies to current events, I realize that what we see happening now is well beyond the control of any man.  The signs of Biblical prophecy are as evident and readable as the signs an Apache hunter used to track his prey.  All it takes is some knowledge, research and a pair of open eyes to actually see what I’m talking about.

Do I believe that Obama is good for America?  NO!  Have I given up the fight against the socialization of America?  NO!  Have I given in to the idea of a New World Order?  NO!

What I have done though, is open my eyes to the Word of God and open my mind to the possibilities.  And . . . what I see is that His plan is at work – just as prophesied – to bring about the second coming of Christ.

Biblical prophecy tells us that the generation seeing Israel become an independent nation will be the final generation before the second coming of Jesus Christ.  In fact, the prophecy reveals to us that that generation will not end before His return, that no less than 70 and no more than 80 years will pass between an independent Israel and the second coming.

Israel gained its status as an independent nation in 1948.  If the prophecies are correct, this means that Jesus will return as early as 2018 but no later than 2028.  We are also told that there will be a Rapture of the Church followed by a 7 year Tribulation Period just prior to the second coming of Christ.

Again, if the prophecies are correct, this means that the Rapture will occur sometime between 2011 and 2021.  Nobody knows exactly when this will occur but it is certain to happen between today and the end of 2021.  Other prophecies by the Mayans, the Egyptians, the Celts, Edgar Cayce, Nostradamus, Jeane Dixon and more have indicated that 2012 can be interpreted as the most likely year of Rapture.  When asked by his disciples of His second coming, Jesus told them in His flawless prophecy that end-time phenomena would include war, famines, pestilence and “earthquakes in diverse places”.  Have you SEEN the headlines lately?

Bible passages that prophesy the independence of Israel:

  • “For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah… and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it”.  (Deuteronomy 30:3)
  • “Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.”  (Ezekiel 37:12)

Bible passage from Mark that speaks of the final generation:

“Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.”  (Mark 13:30)

Bible passages that predict global events as evidence of the prophecy:

  • “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.”  (Mark 13:8)
  • “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”  (Matthew 24:7)
  • “All these are the beginning of sorrows.”  (Matthew 24:8)
  • “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”  (Matthew 24:9)
  • “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”  (Matthew 24:10)
  • “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”  (Matthew 24:11)

The Bible passage that has changed my way of thinking about current events:

  • “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end.”  (Mark 13:7)

Just think about it.  That’s all I ask.  Just think about it.  Please.
